Ken Kelly - Coach and General Manager of Stanford River Rats (FCSL)

“I have had the privilege of having coach Espada on my staff of both the college of Lake County (IL) and the Stanford River Rats in the Florida Collegiate Summer League. Oscar brings a wealth of knowledge and commitment to excellence, complimented by and ability to communicate both in a way that players respond to in the most positive way – the become better players, pitchers, and people”

Wilfredo Rodriguez

Oscar Espada is a person well prepared. To work in the development of any baseball player, either a professional or collegiate level. Working with me since the age of 15, at the moment I have 21, and I am finishing my fourth as a Professional baseball player with the Colorado Rockies, in the California League, Advance class-A. He always kept telling me how important academics were. Always expressed academics first and then baseball. I am sure that this is going to be the main reason of this Academy. A complete preparation both in the educational side and athletic side, where at the end of the day will be only one goal. To make each FIBA student the best possible human being first, and then a professional prepared either in the university, or in professional baseball. I attest to that because that happened with me. And you can trust in him because, his strong point of teaching is the most important thing you need for any sport, university, or daily life.  It is the mental strength. Beyond physical workouts, he always tests you putting you hard challenges on the road of success, with the purpose of strengthening the mental strength. As a professional baseball player i can tell you that is the most important thing. Where the best players in the world play. And only the ones that are mentally strong survive.

John McVey - Asstistant Coach Southeastern Community College in Iowa

"Oscar Espada and his group of coaches always put out quality baseball players. The training the receive rivals that of most college programs. They have a knack of producing good baseball players but also quality young men."

Edgardo Rivera - Alabama State University Div. I

Actually I am in my Senior Year in Alabama State University Div. I. I met Oscar Espada 6 years ago and I worked with him since then. He is the type of person who loves what he does, and the best thing he has is passion for what he does. He loves to work, he likes to teach, and he is 100% committed with everything he does. I can say Espada is well prepared to develop any type of player, working with mechanics, strength and conditioning, and the most important thing is the mental part. He has all the knowledge to prepare and he inspires you to be better everyday. I am thankful for what he did for me because he helped me develop all my skills, mentally and physically. I am thankful for all of the hard work I did with him here and today I am finishing my Bachelors Degree. I know that his goal with FIBA Baseball Academy, is to prepare every athletic student in making it to their next professional level.
